I have been to Control Panel on my computer, and note that Canon MF appears there only as a scanner. There are Windows 10 drivers for the scanner function of the Laserbase MF all over the place.
So I suspect the issue goes beyond the simple matter of a driver. I have downloaded Windows 7 drivers for the Laserbase MF, but cannot get them to generate anything - not surprising, really, as my version of Windows 10 does not seem even to recognise the printer. I am wondering if I have to give up on this one - in which case I shall probably Freecycle the device to someone who is still on Windows 7 or an older version of Windows, and get myself a new straight laser printer.
